Chimer
Chimer are a Hastings-based post-punk trio working at the collision point of abrasive electronics and scorched-out distortion. Their sound is a relentless surge of guitar noise and feedback, at once purgative and forward-facing, unfolding in dense, narrative-driven compositions that hit with raw, high-velocity force.
Now signed to Commune Records, the band step into a new phase with a refreshed lineup and a sharpened artistic vision. A series of forthcoming releases is on the horizon, paired with striking visual work and a renewed commitment to physical formats, including a vinyl release slated for later this year.
Gloop unit
Gloop Unit are a London-based four-piece whose music sits between electronic experimentation and progressive rock. Built around sequencers and drum machines, their songs weave together guitars, live drums and flute, creating intricate rhythms that unfold into expansive, immersive arrangements. Drawing on the adventurous spirit of 1990s electronic music while embracing the freedom of live performance, they have carved out a sound that feels both exploratory and distinctly their own.
The band have recently returned from recording in France, where they completed their debut releases for Commune Records. The first singles will arrive later this year, followed by a vinyl EP.
